Last June 19, four Asian IFPI partners and music licensing companies (MLC) personally paid the PRM team a visit to discuss the best practices in music licensing. Specifically, the esteemed MLC guests were the China Audio-Video Copyright Association (CAVCA), Phonographic Performance South East Asia Ltd (PPSEAL), Recording Industry Foundation in Taiwan (RIT), and Association of Recording Copyright Owners in Taiwan (ARCO).

Two days prior, the PRM team attended the International Federation of Phonographic Industries’ (IFPI) Asian MLC Meeting 2025, spanning from June 17 to 18. The day after the MLC meeting, during the foreign MLCs’ visit, the PRM team and the MLCs shared their challenges with royalty collection, a few recommendations for efficient operations, and the best approaches to music licensing. There was a collective understanding that the industry is exponentially developing in the region and that it is high time to ensure that collaborative efforts are being made.

It was PRM’s pleasure to welcome the representatives of CAVCA, PPSEAL, RIT, and ARCO. Truly, music licensing involves multiple bodies jiving with one another; there is a perpetual need to strengthen our means to recognize and credit those who create music for us.
