It was a full room as the Philippine Association of the Record Industry gathered partners and key players across the music industry for an afternoon that felt both grounded and forward-looking.

The program opened with remarks from Tony Ocampo, setting the tone for the discussions ahead—focused on the current state of the industry while acknowledging the shifts happening across digital, commercial, and live music spaces.

Representatives from the Philippine Recorded Music Rights Inc. were present alongside fellow stakeholders, reflecting the continued alignment between organizations working toward a more structured and sustainable music ecosystem.

Also in attendance was Ranice Faustino of Go Live Asia, reinforcing how closely linked recorded music has become with live experiences—from concerts and festivals to branded activations and events.

As the conversations progressed, Enzo Valdez, President of PARI, took the opportunity to share updates that brought a noticeable energy into the room. He walked attendees through PARI’s calendar of events for the remainder of the year, giving a clearer sense of direction and opportunities for engagement across the industry.

More notably, he also hinted at bigger and more ambitious plans for 2027—an exciting signal that PARI is not only maintaining momentum, but actively building toward something larger in the years ahead.

Of course, one of the most anticipated highlights mentioned was the upcoming Awit Awards. The mention alone resonated strongly with those in attendance. As one of the country’s most respected music awards platforms, it continues to be a key moment for celebrating Filipino talent and recognizing excellence across the industry.

For PRM, being part of gatherings like this goes beyond presence—it’s about participation in shaping what comes next. As a collective management organization representing producers and performers, PRM continues to work alongside industry partners to ensure that music is not only widely used, but also properly valued and protected.

Set against the backdrop of Viva Café—closely tied to Viva Entertainment—the event brought together both legacy and forward momentum in one space. And if there was one clear takeaway, it’s this: the industry is moving forward, together—with a lot to look forward to.
