PRM Partners with BMAT's SoundSys to Strengthen Royalty Distribution and Rights Management

Philippine Recorded Music Rights Inc. (PRM) has entered into a strategic partnership with BMAT Music Innovators, adopting its SoundSys platform to further strengthen the organization's royalty management and distribution capabilities.

The partnership marks another significant milestone in PRM's continued efforts to modernize its operations and provide better services to its members. By integrating SoundSys into its core processes, PRM aims to enhance the way repertoire is managed, music usage data is processed, and royalties are distributed to record producers and performers.

Developed by BMAT Music Innovators, SoundSys is a cloud-based back-office platform designed specifically for neighbouring rights collective management organizations. The system supports the entire royalty management process—from member onboarding and repertoire registration to usage matching, rights reconciliation, royalty calculations, and financial reporting—all within a single platform. Today, the technology supports more than 140 collective management organizations and over 400 rights holders across 250 territories worldwide.

For PRM, the implementation of SoundSys represents an important investment in transparency, operational efficiency, and accuracy. As the organization continues to grow its membership and licensing activities, having a globally recognized rights management platform will help streamline internal processes while improving the quality and reliability of royalty distributions.

As the Philippines' accredited collective management organization representing the sound recordings of record labels, producers and performers, PRM continues to invest in technologies and partnerships that support a more efficient, transparent, and sustainable music rights ecosystem. The implementation of SoundSys is another step toward ensuring that rights holders are fairly compensated while positioning PRM alongside leading collective management organizations around the world.
