With just two days to go, preparations are in full swing for MP3 2026: Music Protection, Promotion, and Partnership, happening on March 12, 2026 at B Hotel, Quezon City.

Organized by Philippines Recorded Music Rights Inc. (PRM), with participation from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) and key industry partners, the event will bring together professionals from across the music, business, legal, and media sectors to discuss the value of music and the importance of responsible music use in commercial spaces.

MP3 2026 aims to provide a clearer understanding of how music functions not just as entertainment, but as a business asset that drives customer experience, brand identity, and commercial value.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees will hear insights from experts across different areas of the music ecosystem. The program will cover topics such as the Philippine audio and listening landscape, the legal framework surrounding music use, and the role of music in shaping business environments.

Among the speakers is Althea Mendoza, Senior Manager for Client Services at Fiftyfive5blue (formerly Kantar Media Philippines), who will present data on the current listening habits of Filipino audiences and how music consumption continues to evolve across platforms such as radio, digital, and OTT audio.

The program will also feature a legal perspective from Atty. Chuck Valerio of IPOPHL, who will discuss the legal considerations surrounding music use in businesses and the role of intellectual property protection in supporting creators and rights holders.

Another session will feature Mike Constantino, Director of Homonym Philippines, who will share insights on the role of music in branding and how businesses can strategically use music to shape identity, atmosphere, and customer experience.

Representing PRM, Candice Lima, Assistant Licensing Manager, will discuss how businesses can partner with PRM and the importance of proper music licensing in supporting the music industry while enabling establishments to legally integrate music into their spaces.

The event will be hosted by Keeshia Mangio, Marketing Manager of PRM, who will also share insights on the organization’s advocacy to promote fair music use and stronger collaboration between businesses and the music community.

In addition to the discussions, the event will include live performances from Filipino artists, highlighting the creative community at the heart of the music industry.

MP3 2026 is expected to gather companies, business owners, hospitality groups, marketing professionals, and music industry stakeholders, creating a space for dialogue, learning, and collaboration.

As the countdown begins, PRM looks forward to welcoming attendees for an afternoon of meaningful conversations about how music protection, promotion, and partnership can work together to strengthen the Philippine music ecosystem.
