PRM recently attended the official album launch of Bugoy Drilon, held in Pasig City on March 27, 2026. The intimate media event marked the release of Anthems, a 9-track R&B album and his first independent project since 2018.

The album signals a more personal chapter in Bugoy’s career, featuring songs developed over the past four years that reflect themes of love, faith, fear, and growth. During the launch, he performed select tracks including “Habang Buhay”, “Empty House”, and his single “Pilit Pinili”, giving attendees a deeper look into the story behind the music.

As part of the media session, PRM’s Marketing Manager, Keeshia Mangio, had the opportunity to ask Bugoy about his transition into independence:

What do you think is the biggest challenge since you’re already managing yourself as an independent artist—balancing both the creative and business side of your career?

Bugoy shared that for him, it comes down to trusting the process—focusing on the work, staying consistent, and accepting that not everything can be controlled. He also emphasized his faith, choosing to trust God while continuing to use his talent to connect with people through his music.

Now fully independent, Bugoy takes on a more hands-on role in shaping his career, with plans for a solo concert and a nationwide tour later this year.

For PRM, attending events like this provides valuable insight into how artists today are navigating both the creative and business sides of the industry—especially in an increasingly independent landscape.

If your business uses music, understanding the people and work behind it matters. Reach out to PRM to learn how you can support music the right way.
