Certified Blockbuster: Cedric Escobar’s Celebrates the Launch of His New Single, Pelikula

PRM witnessed a milestone of Cedric Escobar and PolyEast Records, our members, as he launched his latest single at Sari-Sari Cocktails last October 10, 2024. Opening the festivities are fellow PolyEast Records artists, Ron Macapagal, Selena Marie, M1MOSA, and Drei Rana.

Cedric is a budding balladeer who grew up in New York. He is indeed born for the stage as he opened for various Filipino acts abroad sharing the stage with the likes of Rivermaya and Gloc-9.  He is also known for his renditions of classics such as his prior release Got to Believe in Magic. His latest song however is an original, entitled Pelikula, which means “movie” in tagalog. The song narrates the feeling of being in love which is comparable to a movie scene.

The song is truly deserved to be sung on stage, but before that, Polyeast artists warmed up the stage. M1MOSA rocked the stage first keeping the energy alive by performing a medley of popular OPM rock songs before parting with the crowd. Drei Rana then slowed things down as he serenaded the crowd with an acoustic set. This was followed by the vocal powerhouse Selena Marie who captured the hearts of the audience. Ron Macapagal then surprised the crowd with a surprise performance with Seramel before giving the red hot crowd to Cedric. He performed a mixture of originals and covers and of course Pelikula. It was truly like a scene from a movie as Cedric’s family and friends were there to witness the successful launch of his latest single.
