Philippines Recorded Rights held their first-ever annual general meeting last September 28, 2023, at Luxent Hotel. Despite the rainy weather, the board, label heads, performers, and partners braved the weather to be part of the event. Before the start of the program, guests were greeted by the photo wall where they had the opportunity to create content and have their pictures taken together with other guests. While waiting for the quorum to be completed, everyone took the opportunity to catch up with each other and connect and discuss and talk strategy on how to move the music industry forward.

The program then started with a discussion of business matters spearheaded by the Chairman, Former Director General of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, Ricardo Blancaflor through the assistance of the corporate secretariat, Mazars. After the board had decided on business matters, Atty. Blancaflor gave a beautiful message to introduce PRM, then gave the floor to the licensing head, Francis Buen to talk more about the organization. Francis then shared the current state of PRM, the milestones, and future plans ranging from operations, marketing, financials, etc.. The delight on the faces of the attendees can be seen as they saw the growth of PRM as an organization.

To punctuate the momentous occasion, the attendees gathered for a photo. Everyone from the label heads, to the performers, to the partners of PRM went home with a better understanding of who PRM is, what PRM can do for them, and vice versa. PRM is beaming with hope as it takes one step closer to the future that it envisioned for the music community so be part of it now!
