MANILA, PHILIPPINES — After successful concert legs abroad, “Marilag” and “Sining” singer-composer Dionela performs at his sold-out solo concert back home in the Philippines. This is the Universal Music Group-signed (UMG) artist’s first headline tour. Held in the New Frontier Theater, the concert ran for two days, November 21 and 22. PRM was invited to witness this event on Day 1, November 21.
This major undertaking was produced by Go Live Asia and directed by Paolo Valenciano and Nico Faustino. Dionela previously announced that all proceeds from the two-day concert run would be donated to communities devastated by recent typhoons, with the singer noting that, “The concert is called THE GRACE TOUR – and I guess this is what grace is all about.”

Band Off to Neverland warmed up the crowd with three of their own songs. Other guests include Dionela collaborators like Loonie and Alisson Shore, friends like band Project: Romeo, and OPM greats Kyla and Gary Valenciano. Also included are John Roa and Janine Cardolino.

Dionela started off the concert strong with his hit “Oksihina”, which he also performed during the 38th Awit Awards. Lighting up the stage with the color red, fans cheered as Dionela entered the venue. It was followed by “Langit”, with Dionela bringing out collaborator Loonie for their song “Hoodie” afterwards.

The next stretch of songs was dedicated to Dionela’s long time girlfriend Maizie Mendoza. “153” was born after a brief split between the couple. For “Bahaghari”, the singer explained that "Bahaghari" was only completed with Mendoza’s help. After Mendoza performed her part of "Bahaghari", Dionela went down on one knee and proposed.
