This past Saturday, October 26, 2024, at MPH Kapitolyo, PRM, alongside PolyEast Records and The Better, co-presented an important event for Satellite Daydream, as they celebrated the launch of their most recent single. Celebrating with them were their friends, family, fans, and fellow artists, Eze B, Andrew Ramos, Natun, ila, Turning Tendencies, and MilesExperience.

The band started as a group of 4 friends who loved to play music and were fans of Indie, OPM, Alternative, Shoe Gaze, and Classic Rock. Inspired by the likes of Eric Clapton and the Beatles, the band, in their own words, hopes to “transport both themselves and their listeners from the mundane reality to a realm where they can dictate what they perceive, hear, and feel — a Satellite Daydream”, hence their name. They first gained notoriety in 2022 and 2023 for their original songs “Denisse” and “Minamahal Kita”, and hope to continue their momentum with their newest single, “Iyong Mundo”, which means “Your World” in English. The song talks about loving someone and wanting to be part of their world and life.

But before they performed the song live for the very first time, their special guest artists set the lively tone for the evening. PolyEast Records artist, Andrew Ramos, started the party by serenading the crowd with his emotionally-charged songs, including his latest release, “Manhid”. He was then followed by fellow PolyEast Records artist, Natun, who gave the crowd a heartfelt acoustic folk set that tugged at their heartstrings. Accompanied by Natun on guitar, another PolyEast Records artist, ila, then performed a theatrical acoustic set that kept the crowd glued to her performance. She was then followed by Turning Tendencies, who performed a lively set of rock songs that made the crowd even more lively. Veteran band, MilesExperience, then took the stage and expertly rocked it before handing the reins over to Satellite Daydream. They then performed a set of all original songs, composed of “Denisse”, “Till We’re Older”, “Minamahal Kita”, “Too Old Too Young”, and of course, “Iyong Mundo”. After their set, Eze B topped off the event with a DJ set that had everybody grooving and having a good time. In the end, it was as if everyone was in Satellite Dream’s world, as they had the crowd in the palm of their hands, celebrating the success of their single release party.
