Less Lyrics, More Music, MoreHawks: Party Pace Celebrates the Release of Their Latest Album

Last May 8, 2025, record label member, PolyEast Records invited PRM to join the launch of MoreHawks, an album by their artist, Party Pace. Held at Apotheka Poblacion, the event was opened by SOS (Formerly She’s Only Sixteen) of Careless Music, Nameless Kids from Tarsier Records under ABS-CBN Music, and PolyEast’s Ila, and was capped by a DJ set from DJ Jiggawho. 

SOS, a mainstay in the local indie scene, started the night. This was followed by one of the fresh new bands, Nameless Kids, featuring live performances of their tracks such as “Kuha Mo Na” and “Gabi.” Ila then livened up the crowd with performances that included some participation from the audience. 

The headliner, Party Pace, finally took the stage. Party Pace is a four-piece band that comprises of an all-star cast of band members, namely, Sandwich’s front-man, Raymund Marasigan, IV of Spades’ Badjao De Castro, Eco Del Rio of Chicosci, and John Apura. They were able get the audience to be enthralled by their music as one of the key characteristics of their songs is the lack of lyrics. This provides an immersive experience for the crowd as there are no sing-alongs, all they can do is vibe to the music, and vibe to the music is what they did. 

Their latest album, MoreHawks is a nine-track collection of experimental songs namely, “Bad Ate Jude,” “Everytime I See,” “Ash Valentine,” “Light Drama,” “Morning Sorry Email,” “Swimming Suits,” “Flying Butter,” “Doon Na Lang Ako Magpapainom,” and “HBDRR.” Their sonic fingerprints as individual artists is evident in every song as you can hear influences from the genres that they originated from.
