Lola Amour The Album Concert, A Night of Celebration and Surprises!

PRM joined Lola Amour and Warner Music Philippines last April 13, 2024 in Lola Amour The Album concert. The event celebrates the release of the band’s self-titled album; their first full-length album. Lola Amour is a rock band consisting of Pio Dumayas, David Yuhico, Raymond King, Zoe Gonzales, Angelo Mesina, Jeff Abueg, and Raffy Perez. They are known for their unique amalgamation of various genres infusing rock with elements of jazz and funk.

Before the band stepped on stage, Any Name’s Okay and Cup of Joe warmed up the crowd. Being a humorous bunch, the band opened with Dante Gulapa, an internet sensation known for his “Eagle Dance,” dancing to their instrumentals. They then opened the set with the extended version of Fallen, followed by Umiinit from their latest album. Their labelmates PLAYERTWO joined them to rap in Al James’ stead for their collaboration Sundan Mo Ko. This was followed by Maybe Maybe, This Ain’t Love, dahan-dahan, and Lost for Words before shifting to a somber mood with Part II: Bliss that they dedicated to their friend.

After a 10-minute break, the band picked up the pace with the single from the album, Namimiss Ko Na. Followed by Saan Kakapit, I’ll Give My Heart, If I Ever Comeback, and Pwede Ba. It was announced before the event that their bassist, Raymond would leave the band after this concert so as a parting gift, he was surprised with the appearance of their old keyboardist, Martin Kim, who gave an acoustic performance of the Korean version of Pwede Ba. As the set was coming to an end everyone knew what the last song would be. And to the delight of the fans, they performed their hit that went viral last year: Raining In Manila.

To cap off the night, Lola Amour celebrated with their fans during the afterparty headlined by PLAYERTWO. Another treat for the fans was the performance of FLYY and Pagdali with surprise guest Felip of SB19. Finally, the night ended with the crowd partying to the beats of DJ Marco Molina.

Congratulations to Warner Music Philippines and Lola Amour for this milestone. It’s amazing to see the efforts of our members to release and share their music with their fans as Pio, the frontman of the band, shared that this album was five years in the making. It would be just as amazing if these efforts could be rewarded by compensating them whenever their songs are being played in public, that is why PRM is here to collect royalties for them.
