On November 16, 2025, PRM attended The 38th Awit Awards as a partner institution. This marks the third time that PRM has collaborated with The Awit Awards to celebrate local artists and their music.
The 38th Awit Awards, organized by Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) and powered by Vibe, colored the Meralco Theater purple and green for the night in celebration of Original Pinoy Music (OPM). The violet carpet was graced with both established and new OPM favorites, including PRM performer-members Over October, Dilaw, and TJ Monterde, among many others.
Leading the pack for major wins are Ben&Ben, Lola Amour, Dionela, and Cup of Joe. Ben&Ben won Best Album with their newest release, “The Traveller Across Dimensions”. Lola Amour’s “Namimiss ko Na” won Best Record and Best Alternative Recording. Best Song went to Cup of Joe, with their song “Misteryoso”. Last but not least, Best Collaboration went to Dionela and Jay R for “Sining”, which also won Best R&B Recording.
Powerhouse voters of Pinoy Pop (PPop) groups SB19 and BINI dominated the People’s Voice Category. SB19, both from the members debuting new solo ventures and as a group, won several awards. SB19 and Gloc-9’s “Kalakal” won several awards, the People's Voice Award for Best Collaboration, Best Rap/Hip-hop Recording, Music Video of the Year, and Best Cover Art. People’s Voice Award for Favorite Solo Artist went to Felip, while Stell won People’s Voice Award for Favorite New Solo Artist and People’s Voice Award for Favorite Breakout Artist. Justin won the People’s Voice Award for Favorite Music Video for his song “surreal” and People’s Voice Award for Record of the Year for his other song “kaibigan”. Pablo’s collaboration with his brother Josue– better known as Radkidz– won Favorite Song of the Year with their song “Akala”.
Besides winning the People's Voice Award for Best New Album for “Talaarawan”, BINI won the People’s Voice Award for Best Group Artist. During the The Official Philippines Chart Launch Party (TOPC Launch Party) earlier this year, PRM also awarded the group #1 Local Artist of the Year. And as a cherry on top for BINI, their fans– affectionately nicknamed “Blooms”– won the Vibe Stan Award: an award for the fandom with the most votes overall during the voting period.
AltG Records’, a GMA Music sublabel, NIOR snagged the last People’s Voice Award, Best New Group Artist.
For the Performance Category, both old and new favorites were awarded for giving their all into their craft. Best Solo Artist went to Dionela for “Marilag”. Best Performance by a Group Artist went to Ben&Ben for their work on “Triumph”. Polyeast’s iLa won Best Performance by a New Solo Artist for “‘Di Maipagkilala”.
Best Pop Recording went to Maki’s “Dilaw”, which was also recognized during PRM’s TOPC Launch Party as the #2 Local Song of the Year. Tied for Best Remix Recording are ena mori’s “WHITE ROOM (Reimagined ver.)” and “different… (kenyama remix)” by kenyama.
PPop also won big: BINI’s last award of the night was Best Dance/Electronic Recording for their viral song “Salamin, Salamin”. SB19 also bagged Best Global Collaboration Recording with “Moonlight”, a collaboration with Terry Zhong and Ian Asher. SB19 member Felip Suson won Best Vocal Arrangement for “ache”, sharing the award with Luke Isnani.
There were also two special awards given during the 38th Awit Awards. Ely Buendia was named the Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino Awardee. Meanwhile, Viva Records co-founder Vic del Rosario, Jr. was named the Lifetime Achievement Awardee.
PRM is proud to be part of a celebration of artistry, and congratulates everyone in the music industry for another successful showcase of what Filipino creativity can achieve.
It aims to collaborate further with artists and protect the industry on the ground. PRM focuses on collecting royalties for both performers and record labels, ensuring that the industry is properly compensated for their work.
