UP students came to jam with their favorite local and international artists at We Play Here: an event by Warner Music Philippines. The rain and the holiday couldn’t stop the fans of Kahel, Letters From June, SUGARCANE, Paul Pablo, Arthur Miguel, Griff, PLAYERTWO, Dilaw, and Stell as they still found a way to make it to the College of Science Amphitheater.
The festive vibes can be felt as they enter the venue. There are artist booths where they can participate in fun activities. Music was everywhere as the Wish Bus was parked and featured performances from SUGARCANE, Griff, and Stell.
Of course, it’s all about the Main stage. Incredible performances and surprises from Warner Artists wowed the crowd. First to rock out were bands Kahel, Letter From June, and SUGARCANE. Cup of Joe even shared the stage with SUGARCANE for a surprise performance to delight their fans.
Not to be outdone, the soloists also put the crowd through a roller coaster of emotions as Paul Pablo electrified the audience with a high-energy song and dance performance. British pop-star who opened for Coldplay and Taylor Swift, Griff, then slowed things down with a stripped-down version of her tracks such as Anything, Miss Me Too, and Vertigo. Arthur Miguel then picked up the pace with fun and catchy tracks such as Lihim and he even dueted with jikamarie on their song Malabong Ugnayan.
Rounding out the music festival was an eclectic mix of Warner Music’s heaviest-hitting artists. They do not run out of surprises as PLAYERTWO brought out to the stage their friends from all around the globe including FELIP, Oliver Cronin, CHISEKO, Young Cocoa, and members of Lola Amour. Following them was rock band, Dilaw that played their hits such as Janice, Uhaw, and Orasa. And to cap off the night, Stell showcased his powerful vocals and sharp dance moves while performing songs from his latest EP, Room, that impressed not only the A’TINs but also everyone in the venue.

This is the first of many We Play Here as they tour different schools. This is a great initiative from Warner Music as students don’t have to go to concerts; instead, the concerts will come to them.
